I understand that if I do not check each box my application will not be accepted. ● Upon acceptance of the application and payment of appropriate fees, I agree to the following terms: ● I understand my application is not valid without full payment. Vendors who have not made full payment prior to the event will not be allowed to set-up. Please keep in mind that spaces will sell out so the earlier your application is received the more likely you will get a spot. ● I understand that the AACA/African Street Festival reserves the right to approve all vendor booths and food truck, as well as materials displayed or sold in each booth.. ● I understand that any photos taken during the event may be used for future promotional purposes. ● I understand I must have a temporary food vendor permit from Metro Nashville. 2500 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37209. Phone number call 615-340-5620 ● I understand Food Trucks must register with Metro Parks (business license, $1,000,000 certificate of insurance naming Metro Parks & Recreation as additionally, health inspection, and fire inspection if cooking with propane inside the truck. Contact Karli.moss@nashville.gov to register your food truck. ● I understand that locations will be assigned according to date of application, power availability, crowd control needs, and product being sold. ● I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the AACA/African Street Festival, Security and their staff, volunteers, or boards against any claim or action or for any cause. I agree that I will be responsible for my own insurance and under this hold harmless clause. ● I will submit a complete menu, including my prices, with my agreement. ● I understand that I will be limited to selling food and beverages. ● I agree to the set-up and break down times for my area. ● I understand that there will be no ice provided. ● I understand that it is my responsibility to adhere to all Metro Parks, Health and Fire Department regulations related to booth set up and proper food preparation/service. If not, I understand that the Health and Fire Department can close the operations of my booth and I will forfeit all fees paid under this agreement. Each vendor is responsible for obtaining a permit from the Health Department at least 2 weeks prior to the event and for complying with all the rules. ● I understand and agree to follow rules for operating as a food vendor in Hadley/Lillard Park and (1) all waste water will be kept in closed containers, (2) that all used grease and/or oils must be kept in closed containers, and (3) that I will take the waste water, used grease/oils with me when I leave Hadley-Lillard Park. ● I understand that I will bring my own trash bags and trash containers and that it is my responsibility to contain my trash and take the bagged trash to dumpsters onsite. ● I understand I will restore the area of my food truck or tent in clean and sanitary condition daily and at the end of the festival.. ● I understand that I may not move my tent or vending cart trailer, food truck, etc., after it has been set up prior to or during the Festival. If it is moved I understand that I understand that I will be required to close my business and leave the Festival. ● I understand that if I am cooking with propane it is my responsibility to obtain a Propane Permit from the Davidson County Metro Fire Department at least two weeks prior to the event. ● I understand that I may not sell any alcoholic beverages and tobacco products may be sold. ● I understand that I will supply my own tent with scrim sides on all 4 sides, and a copy of the certificate of flame spreading rating must accompany this application. ● I understand that I will supply my own tent and that only frame tents with concrete tie downs may be used. I must also provide my own tables, chairs, and heavy-duty extension cords if I elect to purchase the optional electrical service. ● I understand that Tennessee sales tax will be my sole responsibility. ● I understand that loud Generators are not permitted. ● I understand that this is a RAIN or SHINE event.

I have read, understood, and hereby accept the policies of the African American, Cultural Alliance / African Street Festival, and the liability limits as stated, and agree to hold harmless African American Cultural Alliance for any claims for damage, loss or injury arising from my participation in the African Street Festival 2024. The African American Cultural Alliance/ African Street Festival is a rain or shine event and will remain scheduled as planned, regardless of inclement weather. No refunds shall be given due to interruption of the festival or cancellation for reasons beyond the control of African American Cultural Alliance . These reasons include, but are not limited to weather, acts of God, acts of terrorism, or governmental intervention. I further understand the African American Cultural Alliance Festival Committee reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules. I grant African American Cultural Alliance permission to reproduce submitted images for publicity or educational purposes.
